Besides advocating for bullying her other interests are working with children and families, camping, fishing, and outdoor activities. She is happily married with three children. Cynthia is no stranger to bullying as she had personal issues dealing with the school system and her child being bullied due to being disabled, as you will hear in her in depth interview.
Cynthia is a first time author and illustrator of a children’s book “Sebastian, The Small Trunk Elephant. Her book teaches children that making fun of one for being different is considered bullying. It also teaches children that each one of us is special in our own unique way. Her focus is on respecting each other and stopping bullying regardless of flaws or uncontrollable circumstances.
I had the pleasure of speaking with Cynthia recently and got her story and what she does to address bullying with her children and as a childcare provider.
Cynthia’s favorite quote is: “EVERYTHING WE LEARN STARTS FROM HOME.”
